Middlesex Magic Captain Andrew Dowton Leads Milton Academy to Rivers Tournament Championship and Earns MVP Honors

In the finals of the Rivers Tournament Milton Academy played the host team on their own court. The start of the game was very competitive with two teams fighting for a championship.
Milton went into the locker room at the half with a 29-20 lead. The second half saw a tough Rivers team battle back into the game and close the lead to a basket.
Captain Andrew Dowton (I) made two huge plays in the final few minutes of the game. He hit a big 3-pointer from the corner to put Milton up by 5 and then made the biggest play of the game by stepping in and taking a charge.
This was the first time that Milton had won this tournament in 30 years and it was great to see because it was an complete team effort. Dennis Clifford earned All-Tournament team and Captain Andrew Dowton was named Tournament MVP.
